Billie Eilish has slammed critics of her signature style after the singer received numerous comments asking her to change her wardrobe.
The 17-year-old is known for wearing baggy T-shirts, sweatshirts and pants when out in public, partly to avoid being objectified for her body. In a recent Instagram showing the singer wearing a baggy T-shirt and pants, she addressed any criticisms.
'If only i dressed normal id be so much hotter yeah yeah come up with a better comment im tired of that one,' she wrote early Monday.
Her fashion: Billie Eilish shared a picture of herself wearing a white T-shirt and matching pants
Speaking out: The 17-year-old slammed trolls in the caption who always comment she would look 'hotter' if she wore 'normal' clothes
Unimpressed: 'Come up with a better comment im tired of that one,' Billie, who is currently performing in a therapeutic boot after suffering an ankle injury, wrote
The picture showed the singer wearing a white T-shirt and matching pants with colorful graffiti scattered across the entirety of the fabric.
Baggy clothing has become a uniform to Billie since she launched herself into the music scene years ago with the release of Ocean Eyes.
In a recent interview with 'It makes me mad. I have to wear a big shirt for you not to feel uncomfortable about my boobs,' Billie told ELLE.
She actually ended up trending on Twitter for her boobs after taking pictures with fans in a white tank top in June. One of those pictures ended up online with an older male calling Billie 'THICK' because of her boobs.
'My boobs were trending on Twitter,' she told the publication. 'At number one! What is that? Every outlet wrote about my boobs.'
At the time, fans defended the singer online after the older male shared the suggestive picture about Billie showing more skin than she normally revealed.

Objectifying? Previously, one fan caught backlash on Twitter after calling the singer 'thick' when she was pictured wearing a tank top outside

Not happy: People accused the user of objectifying and sexualizing Eilish, mentioning the fact that the singer is currently a minor
People pointed out that, not only is Eilish a minor, but she also has previously spoken about purposely wearing baggy clothes when out in public to avoid being objectified.
'Dude, that's gross,' one person wrote, sharing a meme with the statement. 'She literally has been hiding her body to avoid comments like that.'
Another person wrote: 'Hope Billie never sees this. I don't know what's worse. you sexualizing a minor or sexualizing someone who has gone out their way to cover themselves.'
In her interview with ELLE, Billie further detailed the problems with how people think they can speak about her body and decide what she should wear.
'I was recently FaceTiming a close friend of mine who's a dude, and I was wearing a tank top. He was like, "Ugh, put a shirt on!" And I said, "I have a shirt on,"' Billie detailed, adding: 'Someone with smaller boobs could wear a tank top, and I could put on that exact tank top and get slut-shamed because my boobs are big.
Reasoning: The singer has mentioned in multiple interviews that she chooses to wear loose clothing to avoid getting objectified by fans online
'That is stupid. It's the same shirt'
Billie has created her own style through the baggy clothes she wears, but this doesn't mean the singer will always want this style to represent her look. But Billie is aware of the comments she might receive from fans if she updates her wardrobe.
'I'm gonna be a woman. I wanna show my body. What if I wanna make a video where I wanna look desirable?' Billie asked, referencing how she will turn 18 years old in a few months.
'Not a free lesbian porno downloads. But I know it would be a huge thing,' Eilish continued. 'I know people will say, "I've lost all respect for her."'
Her recent interview with ELLE is not the first time Billie challenged fans about how they choose to speak about her body. This hasn't stopped the shameful comments, though.
The recent Instagram post by Billie shows she is still receiving comments about what she chooses to wear. But the singer has decided to show fans she will not take the criticism without commenting back.
